Major General Jeremy MooreMajor General Sir John Jeremy Moore was the commander of the British land forces during the Falklands War. The General had joined the Royal Marines immediately after leaving school in 1947, and had previously seen active service during the Malayan Emergency, during which he won the Military Cross. After 36 years with the Royal Marines, Moore left in 1983. He subsequently became Director General of the Food Manufactuers Federation, and then is a public speaker, educator and consultant. Major General Sir Jeremy Moore died aged 79 on September 15th 2007.  |
