Exocet MissileThe Exocet is a French-built anti-ship missile that was used by the Argentines during the Falklands War. Using the missile, Argentine Super Etendards sank the Royal Navy's HMS Sheffield on May 4th, 1982 and the requistioned transport Atlantic Conveyor on May 25th, 1982. Additionally, an Argentine Hercules flew an Exocet MM38 (surface-launched variant) to the Falklands, and it was fired from an improvised launcher at HMS Glamorgan, hitting the ship but failing to explode. Argentina also claims that a Skyhawk successfully hit the British aircraft carrier HMS Invincible using an Exocet, but the British deny it. Here are the technical specifications for the Exocet:
