Mirage IIIThe Mirage III is a French-built fighter aircraft that was originally designed in the 1950s, and entered service in 1961. The Mirage III was exported to many countries around the world, and achieved great success with the Israeli Air Force in the 1967 Six Day War. At the time of the Falklands War, the Mirage III was the principal fighter of the Argentine Air Force (some are still in Argentine Air Force service as of 2007).
