Learjet 35The Learjet 35 is a twin engine business and small transport jet. At the time of the Falklands War, the Argentine Air Force (FAA) operated two Learjet 35s. These, together with a number of civilian aircraft were formed into a special unit, the Escuadrón Fénix (Phoenix Squadron). During the war, Learjets performed numerous missions, including 126 sorties in which they acted as decoys simulating strike aircraft preparing to attack the British fleet, with the aim of drawing British Sea Harriers away from the fleet.
